The Implant Denture Process
Because Dr. Rana is capable of performing the entire process in-house, in one convenient location, you don’t need to worry about another outside specialist attempting to explain what you can expect from the process. Instead, you will:
- Meet with Dr. Rana for an initial consultation. He will determine if you need any preliminary treatments to better prepare your smile for your dental implants. Bone grafting, periodontal therapy, or the removal of decayed teeth to justify a full denture may be necessary.
- Undergo dental implant surgery that will involve administering local anesthesia before making multiple incisions in your gums to then place each implant in the ideal location. He will then close the gum tissue and place a healing cap over it.
- Return home to recover for 3-6 months, allowing osseointegration to occur, which is the fusing of the bone and implant.
- Return to have your metal abutments put into place before receiving your finalized restoration that will then be secured on top of your dental implants in Mesquite.
